Show Motion Engineering, Inc. presents the design, engineering, and fabrication of the Louisiana Wildlife Carousel for Louisiana Boardwalk - Shreveport-Bossier City, Louisiana. Custom built as a multi-part assembly in 2005, the carousel features traditional fiberglass carousel horses and Louisiana Wildlife characters like alligators, crawfish, rabbits, and eagles. A caster-mounted spinning keyway system is powered using a large-scale center-axis foundation beam with electrical/mechanical
actuation placed on top of the beam that holds and supports the floating wood deck and operates the characters using custom-shaped steel cranks. This marvelous piece's classic look offers a special significance to Louisiana's culture and wildlife conservation movements and is fun for the entire family.
